A Full Day at Bark & Fly Beats a Day Home Alone

Ask any Oak Ridge dog what they’d pick over a quiet house, and the answer is a field full of friends. That’s the whole idea behind Bark & Fly Ranch, sitting at the end of a straight shot down NC-68 South in High Point. Our fenced grass fields stay open all day for supervised off-leash play, so dogs spend their hours sprinting, sniffing, wrestling, and flopping down in the shade instead of watching the door.

Why Oak Ridge Dogs End Up Here

Room to move, company that fits, and eyes on them the whole time.

What a Day at Bark & Fly Ranch Looks Like

  • Playgroups get assembled by body size, temperament, and how each dog likes to play, which means your pup spends the day with company that actually matches their energy.
  • Fencing runs the full perimeter of our open play areas, giving dogs the freedom to sprint, wander, and socialize without anyone slipping off.
  • Certification and a real fondness for dogs are both required of our staff, who show up every day focused on keeping guests happy, healthy, and out of harm’s way.
  • Care gets shaped around what each dog personally needs, because their comfort and their happiness are how we judge whether a day went well.

Other Services We Offer

Dog Boarding near Oak Ridge, NC

Overnight stays here look nothing like a kennel where dogs wait out your trip. Guests fill their days with play, socializing, grooming, and training, then settle into climate-controlled rooms to recharge. Cats have their own quiet second-floor retreat well away from the action.

Professional Grooming near Oak Ridge, NC

A bath, a breed-standard cut, or the whole spa treatment — whatever your dog needs to look sharp between play days, our groomers handle it in a quiet, unhurried setting. Keeping appointments low-stress from start to finish is the point.

Dog Training near Oak Ridge, NC

Some dogs need a little scaffolding before group play clicks. Our trainers work one-on-one and in group classes on the skills that make daily life smoother, which pairs naturally with boarding for pups still finding their footing around unfamiliar dogs, people, and places.

Why Oak Ridge Pet Owners Choose Bark & Fly Ranch

Oak Ridge has held onto something a lot of the Triad has traded away — big lots, two-lane roads, and the kind of quiet that makes a walk past the Oak Ridge Military Academy grounds feel like a small event. Dog owners here already know Oak Ridge Town Park on Lisa Drive: 80 acres with an off-leash dog park, a pond, shaded trails, and the annual Canine Capers gathering that turns out half the town’s dogs at once. Head a few minutes north and Summerfield Farms welcomes leashed dogs while their people shop the market. This is a community that plans around its pets.

What Oak Ridge doesn’t have is a place where your dog can run loose with a full group all day, every weekday, while you’re at work in Greensboro or Winston-Salem. That’s the gap Bark & Fly Ranch fills. NC-68 South runs right past us, so drop-off slots into a normal commute without a detour, and once your dog is here they get acreage instead of a fenced quarter-acre, a playgroup picked to suit them instead of whichever dogs happened to show up, and a staff watching the whole time. Plenty of Oak Ridge families point the car down 68 every morning for exactly that trade.

Getting Here from Oak Ridge

Getting here from Oak Ridge is about as simple as a drive gets: NC-68 South does almost all the work. Pick up NC-68 S heading out of town and stay on it for 8.8 miles — no exits to weigh, no turns to second-guess, just one highway carrying you south toward High Point. When Clinard Farms Rd comes up, turn right and follow it 1.6 miles. Our driveway is on the left, and you’ve arrived: 8001 Clinard Farms Rd, High Point, NC 27265. The whole trip runs roughly 10.5 miles with a single turn off the highway, which is why so many Oak Ridge families handle daycare drop-off on the way to work without adding anything to the morning.
